ENERFLEX Super Cities WALK for MS Frequently Asked Questions

Q Should I register my children?
We ask that every participant over the age of 6 fill in a registration form and collect pledges. We ask that pledges NOT BE COMBINED with another Walker as your fundraising efforts are important to us and we want to recognize your contribution.

Q Should I take my car?
Consider taking the transit system. It is just a short walk from the 7th Avenue stations. If you do bring your vehicle, there is plenty of cheap parking near Eau Claire or meters are free on Sundays.

Q How do I check in at the Walk?
If you've already submitted your pledge money, or had your friends pledge you online, YOU DON'T HAVE TO LINE UP! Just have breakfast and start walking! If you DO have money to submit, or you haven't claimed your t-shirt yet, you will have to line up.

Q How should I dress?
Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared for anything. Sunscreen or umbrellas are recommended. We walk rain or shine!

Q Can I bring my rollerblades, or my bike?
It's best if you don't. With the number of people at the Walk, it gets too congested.

Q Can I bring my pledge money to the Walk?
We will be accepting money at the Walk. You will be required to line up to submit your money.

Q Can I pick up my t-shirt at the Walk?
If you mail in your pledges in the form of a cheques or credit card, we will bring your t-shirt to the Walk for you. It is really much easier to get people to pledge you online and then you don't have to carry cash.

Q Will the people that I collect pledges from receive a receipt?
If people submit $20 or more, we will automatically send them a receipt. If you need a receipt for a smaller amount, we are happy to issue it provided you show us clearly on the pledge form who has requested it.

Q How does the MS Society use the money raised at the ENERFLEX Super Cities WALK for MS?
The money raised is used to provide services for Calgarians and to help fund research into a cure for the 11,000 Albertans affected by this devastating disease.

Q What is our goal for fundraising in 2008?
We hope to have 3000 participants and raise $800,000. With your help we can do it!!!
