Sign Crew - Using the bike route map, correctly place and remove signs along all bike routes in a timely fashion. Road Marshalls - Volunteers ensure cyclists cyclists ride safely through dangerous intersections, turns in the route, and remind cyclists to follow the rules of the road. Rest Stops - The cyclists stop every 12-15 kms and need to be greeted with smiles, water, and snacks. Checkpoint volunteers help the cyclist keep going. Lunch Stops - Cyclists are a hungry bunch so we need to serve them lunch! Follow food-handling guidelines, prepare and serve hot & cold food Sag Wagon Drivers - Drive up & down the route looking for cyclists who need help and provide a ride for those who do. A valid drivers license and insurance is required, vehicle supplied. Cheering Squad - Be at the finish to cheer the cyclists in at the end of their day at Olds College or Airdrie. Olds College - Help cyclist store their bikes, register them for their rooms, assist at the cafeteria, help to set up for the evening social, be a bartender, or help clean up that evening or help with the clean up. There's no end to the ways you can help out! Massage Therapists - There are a lot of sore and tight muscles at the end of the rides that need some work. Be there to give 10 minute massages. It makes a huge difference. Airdrie Wrap Up Crew - Help set up for our Sunday celebration and then at the end of the event pack everything away for next year's event.
