Fund Raising & Team Building

Helps MS Events Break Records!

What's the secret to a great team? In 2006 the MS Society had the privilege of working with amazing businesses who demonstrated exactly what it takes to be a great team. Companies and friend and families rallied together in the Enerflex Super Cities WALK for MS and RONA MS Bike Tour while all working towards the same goal…finding a cure for MS.

MS Helia Over $56,000
Thank-you to all the teams who participated in the MS Society events! The above teams are only a few examples of the outstanding support that we receive from teams and individuals in our key events. Not only do they raise a significant amount of money for the society, they also bring enthusiasm, commitment and strength to our events. Their work towards the cause and cure for MS is truly inspirational!
Thunder Thys Close to $50,000
Country 105 Rhode's Warriors Close to $30,000
Team BP Close to $30,000

Who are we raising money for?

The mandate of the MS Society: to fund MS reasearch, provide services to people with MS and caregivers, to educate the public and to carry out government and community relations activities.

  • There is no known cause or cure for MS
  • Canada is a high risk area for MS
  • MS is usually diagnosed between the ages of 15 - 40
  • Approximately 1,000 new cases of MS are diagnosed each year

Your fundraising efforts can help us end MS!

Crystal Phillips Story:

Diagonsed with MS at just 20 years old, Crystal had been speed skating since she was six with a dream of some day representing Canada at the Olympics. After being diagnosed, her dreams have not changed, but rather the stepping stones to achieve her dreams. She believes that if people work together, they can raise a lot of money in support of MS research, find a cure and show how much they care.

Karen Barron Story:

My son Levi was doagnosed in June 2005 with relapsing-remitting MS. The illness came on aggessively and greatly affected his mobility.

It is heartbreaking as a parent to know that there is nothing you can do to make it go away. It is because of this, our family will be participating in the Enerflex Super Cities WALK.
