Support Groups

Winter/Spring 2008 Support Group Dates

Persons who attend support groups report that they:

  1. enjoy the opportunity to meet and discuss issues relevant to their situation with others who have similar experiences;
  2. increase their knowledge about multiple sclerosis, symptom management and overall wellness;
  3. reduce any feelings of isolation;
  4. learn how to access resources in the community;
  5. improve their confidence in their ability to cope successfully with MS and;
  6. most importantly have fun.

We invite you to come join us for a few group sessions to find out if some of your needs might be met through group support.

Young Adult Newly Diagnosed Group for 2008

For individuals under 40 years of age and who have been diagnosed for 3 years or less.

Held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month - call the MS Society office for details.

:January 16, February 20, March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18 (2nd Wednesday, 7-9pm)

No Groups Meetings in July or August


Afternoon Support Group for 2008

For individuals experiencing greater physical challenges due to their MS

Held on the 3rd Thursday of each month - call the MS Society Office for details.

Dates: January 17, February 21, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 19  (3rd Thursday of each month, 1-3pm)

No Groups Meetings in July or August


Evening Support Group for 2008

For individuals living with MS who are seeking support and information

Held on the 4th Wednesday of each month - call the MS Society Office for details.

Dates: January 23, February 27, March 26, April 23, May 28, June 25

No Groups Meetings in July or August


Support Groups do not run during the months of July and August

Groups will resume in September
