VersaCold has been an ingegral part of the RONA MS Bike Tour in Calgary for all of its 12 years - and part of the Enerflex Super Cities Walk for over 5 years. One of Versacold's guiding principles is to give personal service to the community - and they do!
Their History:
VersaCold’s roots go back sixty years, to
when B.C. Ice and Cold Storage Company
first opened the doors of the Harbour
facility on Vancouver’s waterfront to serve
the fishing industry.
Forty years, and two name changes
later,VersaCold was incorporated,with
eight facilities in BC and Alberta and one
in Washington, totalling 16.8 million
cubic feet of refrigerated space.
In the 1990s,VersaCold grew by acquiring QF Foods and Trans Canada Freezers, building new facilities in Calgary and Toronto, and adding to existing buildings.

From the corner office to the warehouse floor, they strive to put VersaCold’s guiding principles into practice every day. Putting principles into practice means never being self-satisfied and always learning, measuring and striving for more. It means recognizing opportunity, accepting accountability and taking the initiative.
Putting principles into practice means placing the highest value on respect, integrity and honesty.
Today, their integrated network of 74
refrigerated and frozen food distribution
centres offers nearly 275 million cubic feet
of storage capacity, and a full range of temperature-controlled distribution services.
They can service virtually any
aspect of our more than 3700 customers’
temperature-controlled food handling
needs, including the storage and
management of raw ingredients, processing
and freezing, inventory management,
and complete third party local, regional
and national distribution.
Their success, is due in large part to the hard
work and commitment of their people –
now 4300+ strong – who strive to put
principles into practice.
Thank you VersaCold and your employees and owner/operators - we couldn't do our events without you!
