Support Counseling

A caring team of professionals is available to provide short-term support counseling and consultation to persons with multiple sclerosis, family members and friends. Support counseling is available by phone or appointment and in extenuating circumstances a home visit may be scheduled. Through a mutual process the needs of the individual are identified and as a result may lead to a community referral, information about multiple sclerosis, information about MS Society Services, advocacy or general support regarding the individual challenges.

Peer Link

Peer support volunteers are available to support persons with multiple sclerosis and family members. The purpose of the program is to provide persons affected by multiple sclerosis the opportunity to connect with someone else that is living with multiple sclerosis, reduce isolation, provide support and information about MS and to make appropriate referrals.

Peer support volunteers are available weekdays during regular business hours and only by phone. Peer support volunteers attempt to contact Calgary Chapter clients annually however anyone affected by multiple sclerosis can call and ask to speak with a peer support volunteer.

Should you require any additional information on any of these services contact the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Calgary Chapter office or e-mail us at info@mscalgary.org.
