Having friends and family WALK with you on event day is wonderful but we also ask them to register and fundraise for the event in advance. The Enerflex Super Cities WALK for MS is a fundraiser in support of MS research and client services. When you recruit others to get involved in the WALK, you are also asking them to team up in the fight against MS! Be sure to have all your team members register for the WALK in advance at http://www.mscalgary.org/registration_scw.htm. Together we will find a cure!
Money pooling is not recommended. As mentioned, all team members are to register and fundraise individually. You will then be eligible for both individual and team prizing. If you choose to fundraise as a team, be sure to separate the pledges onto each team members’ pledge forms. It costs the MS Society approximately $25 per WALKer to host the event each year. If you do not turn in pledge money, you are not helping us fund much needed research and client services.

Dan Carson from Country 105’s Morning Show is going head to head with Roger Rhodes from the Drive Show and the two are facing off against multiple sclerosis!
To join your favourite radio announcers’ team, simply register on their team and raise a minimum of $105. Their goal is to recruit 105 WALKers per team!

Sunday, June 4, Event day: Meet, mingle and enjoy breakfast with Doug Veronelly, Dan Carson, Robyn Adair, Phoenix, Kelsi Jordan and Roger Rhodes from Country 105 in the exclusive Country 105 tent. Then, head out on route and stroll along the beautiful WALK route together!
Return back to the Island for great country music from Diane Chase on the ENMAX Stage, a delicious lunch courtesy of Moxie’s Classic Grill and celebrate your efforts!
Remember: in order to WALK with Country 105, you must raise a minimum of $105!

Show Us That You’re A Team Captain! Be sure to wear your Team Captain ballcap the day of the WALK so that you will be eligible to win cool prizes on the spot.
TeamMS Tent - After your 9am breakfast, meet with your team members at the TeamMS tent to get your team photo taken, show your team spirit by shouting out a cheer and show off your team uniform.
Team Photos – All teams are welcome to get their team picture taken at the TeamMS tent. You will be showcased on the MS Society website after the event and if you raise a minimum of $1,000 per team, the Team Captain will receive a team photo in the mail.
Team Signage on Route – All teams that raise a minimum of $1,000 by May 26 th(get your money in early) will receive a personalized “Team Sign” on the event route! This is a great way to showcase your success and let other WALKers know that you are dedicated to finding a cure for multiple sclerosis.
Every team member is responsible for handing in last minute pledges forthemselves at the Registration Tent on WALK day.
Red TeamMS WALK t-shirts are to be picked up at the Registration Tent (right next to the TeamMS Tent.)
Team Captains CAN pick up their TeamMS ball caps in the TeamMS Tent.
The TeamMS Tent is used simply to mingle with your team and get your team photo taken.
If you belong to a team, you are eligible to buy “I Believe” bracelets for 75 cents each and use them as a fundraising tool! Examples: “If you pledge me more than $100 you will receive a bracelet!”
Sell the bracelet for $3 each (money toward your pledge fundraising!)
All team Captains (4+ participants on team) will receive a white Team Captain ball cap!
All team members who achieve the $100 t-shirt level will receive a red TeamMS event t-shirt (in lieu of the white event t-shirt.)
Note: Be sure to bring/send your money in advance to avoid lineups at the WALK and to pick up your t-shirt so you can wear it at the event.
TeamMS Performance Levels
All performance level teams will receive a team picture after the event in the mail. All teams that reach the silver ($2,500+) performance level will receive a TeamMS Mousepad with your team picture in it!!
Note: The Best Team Uniform Award will be chosen at the WALK. Your team will be contacted shortly after the WALK to claim your prize. All other awards will be handed out at the “Grand” Finale Gala in the fall. Stay tuned for your invite.
Do you have a fantastic team captain that goes above and beyond the call of duty? For the second year in a row, we will be recognizing awesome team captains for their outstanding achievement and we need your help! Please send a letter or e-mail teamms@mscalgary.org describing why you think your team captain is deserving of the award. The chosen captain will be honored at the “Grand” Finale Gala Night this fall and will be eligible for a fabulous prize. Nomination deadline: September 1, 2006.
