Ambassador Program
The MS Ambassador Program - a direct result of an anonymous grant given in 2007 to the MS Society has begun targeting volunteers from across the province to become MS Ambassadors. The purpose of the program is to bring MS to the forefront, to create awareness and to make an “invisible” disease “visible.”
Our MS Ambassadors are the face and voice of the MS Society all across our great province. They can be people with MS, board members, MS Society clients, family or friends of those with MS, business people, Alberta celebrities, journalists, donors, sponsors, politicians, or civil servants. The criteria is that they want to do something now about MS, can engage others towards the mission, have enthusiasm and motivation, have the ability to advance the goals of the Division’s strategic plan, and enjoy talking to others.
MS Ambassadors share key messages about MS and the MS Society and can be involved in all aspects of the MS Society, including: Fund Development, Client Services, and Government and Community Relations.
On November 9 & 10 we held our first MS Ambassador Forum. We had over 50 attendees from across the province. Participants assisted in idea generation for further development of the program.
